I want to share my first log cabin quilt. I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of making this quilt. Even though I did not want to make it larger half way through, I still feel so proud to finally complete this one.

Made completely from fat quarters (which was fun to pick out), I machine quilted this entire California King size quilt with Superior Threads 12101-901 King TUT 3-Ply 40W Cotton Quilting Thread in Cedars color.

Before trying this thread, variegated thread did not interest me. The best part of using this thread when machine quilting is to watch the thread change colors right before my eyes. I believe this thread was designed with the machine quilter in mind. Oh, it works up beautifully also!

The best part of making this quilt is the fact that as long as your strips are the same width, you cannot go wrong!
