I am an avid quilter, and I usually get to the sewing room everyday. My husband is home from overseas (his job takes him there and home once a year), so we went to Waco for a short vacation. Of course, I had to go to see Magnolia and was hoping like crazy to get a cupcake. They look so good on television. However, we chose Saturday to visit and the line was a mile long (exagerating).
I decided I did not want to wait that long in line, but I feel I missed out on a really tasty treat. We visited the Silos and got a couple good photos. There is of course plenty of goodies in their store, and we bought some shirts and souveniers. We are back home now, but I am still out of the sewing room. I do woodworking on the side, and I am working on a router table for a new router I purchased this week.
I find I am anxious to get back to my Dresden plate quilt. I usually only take aobut a week to finish a quilt. But, I am having to catch up on some needed projects around the house before I feel I can put my full attention on sewing. Does this happen to you? My sewing room is my sanctuary. No matter what I am going through, I feel I can find solice in front of my machine. Maybe I will be back soon and finish up my applique so I can get to my favorite part of the quilt, FMQ!
